Lisa Davis

Lisa Davis, the founder and CEO of NewPath, is a visionary leader with a 30-year track record in the technology and healthcare industries. Her journey began at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and Apple’s eWorld, an early experimental social network. Over the years, Davis has collaborated with organizations like Kaiser Permenante, Google, NAMI, Apple, Intuit, Hewlett-Packard, and Sequoia Hospital (now Dignity Health), honing her expertise in user behavior and product development. Notably, she developed a differential diagnosis system for rural clinics and a unique social network for medical professionals. Her work in developing a crowdfunding platform successfully raised over $50 million for biotech companies.

Davis’s commitment extends beyond her professional achievements. She is active in her community, serving San Francisco’s inner-city youth and families, and collaborates with Larkin Street Youth and the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco. Her passion for art, especially in 3d and virtual reality, is evident in her leadership of courses in digital art, blending her technical skills with creative expression. 

Dr. Bruce Pither

Dr. Bruce Pither’s distinguished academic journey began with honors in Humanities from Stanford University, followed by a National Institute of Mental Health Fellowship for his Master’s and doctoral studies at the University of Nevada. His pursuit of knowledge took him to the Université de Nantes in France, and he gained practical experience at notable institutions such as the Family Support Project at Nevada State Hospital, V.A. Hospital in Palo Alto, Esalen Institute, and the Psychological Resource Center in Los Altos, California.

With over 30 years in independent practice, Dr. Pither has a rich background in psychotherapy. He has shared his expertise through courses in Organizational Communication, Psychological Assessment, and Employee Counseling at NASA and Sierra University. Co-developing an Employee Assistance Program at the Stanford Research Institute and consulting for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation are among his notable contributions. He has been instrumental in training doctoral students across various institutions, including El Camino Hospital and Sierra University, and is the past president of the San Francisco Psychological Association. 

Fred Davis

Fred Davis is a celebrated entrepreneur and technology pioneer with a remarkable 35-year tenure in the tech industry. His foresight and innovative thinking have been pivotal in the success of two multi-billion dollar startups, CNET and Ask Jeeves (now Ask). As a founding member of Wired magazine, Davis contributed to its numerous publishing achievements. His authorial feats include the groundbreaking first book written on “Desktop Publishing” and the award-winning “Windows Bible” series.

His editorial prowess was influential at Ziff-Davis computer publishing division, where he oversaw leading computer publications like PC Magazine, PC Week, A , and MacUser. Currently, Davis mentors at several San Francisco startup incubators, leveraging his vast experience to guide new ventures. His keen interest in pioneering technologies that change lives, is an area he has passionately advocated for many years, aligns seamlessly with his current endeavors in the startup landscape where he serves as a business consultant.
